What is your opinion on the best diaper rash cream or remedy?

Our month old is just now getting diaper rash kind of bad because of all the soiled diapers throughout the day, & she gets changed frequently. I've been using Desitin, but it doesn't seem to be working as well lately. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • I dont like the creams they dont really stick to rash propeerly....I love this powder called Caldesene. Its in a pink bottle and i have found it in every drug store i have tried. I have had some of the worst bleeding diaper rash almost completely gone after one application.

  • I love Burts Bees baby stuff.

  • Desitin never worked for my son. Resinol did. You can only get it from a real pharmacy. Also letting baby go without a diaper and get some free air time will help tremendously.

Don't use talc or cornstarch...they can encourage yeast to grow and make a worse rash.

  • I use the desitin, so I don't know. Maybe you should try switching wipes too, I noticed some make the diaper rash worse.

  • Beudreau's butt paste. It worked every time on my son, and I only ever applied it once per rash.

  • I know someone who used vick's vapor rub and it worked wonders on the baby's diaper rash.

  • Butt paste works better on my kid than anything else I've tried, and doesn't have that awful smell or greasy feel like Desitin does. :)
