Ice Breaker questions for a new singles Christian group?

I am wanting to start a singles group at church, ages 20-90, don't want to separate ages as ALL have wisdom to share, my vision is a fun group that gets together to fellowship, share a meal, go to the movies, go bowling, day trips, support for each other and making new friends. You ladies are wise and would love your input.

  • You could make up a list of questions and they have to find someone who meets the answers - like - born the same month you are, have 4 or more keys on their key chain, born in the same State (or town, or whatever), has the same middle initial, etc.

Another ice breaker is to get one (or more) of those really big, silly kids puzzles - the ones that are huge and have the pieces that are like the size of your hand... Each person gets a piece (or two, or whatever) when they come in, and they have to find the person or persons that theirs connects with - building it as they go along (so, one person finds another, then those 2 find another...) On the back of each piece, there's a question, and everyone in the group answers the questions that have been "built" when their piece fits - like fav ice cream, fav movie, etc.

You could write out a list of "famous people from the bible" (lol - don't do someone obscure where you only see their name in all the "begats" - I mean like Samuel, David, Goliath, John the Baptist, Herod, Ruth, etc...) Or, you could leave out "the bad guys". write the names on masking tape, and put one on everyone's back. They have to figure out who they are by asking the other people questions - like, Am I a man or a woman? Old test. or new? That sort of thing. After so long, have everyone sit in a circle and they have to say what their guess is as to who they are, then see if they're right.

good luck, and it sounds like your idea for your group sounds like fun :-)
