Realistic Telephone Toys?

My daughter plays with my husband's Rumor (he hasn't used it in over a year; upgraded it last September to a Palm Pre). All the time. She likes to pretend she's talking to Billy [the Exterminator] and her best friend, Christian ("I'm gonna marry him, Mommy!").

Anyway, my mother-in-law caught her pushing the buttons on the house phone. We're thinking she might like the sound of the button tones and I went away to find a realistic telephone, where she could hear the real tones that the buttons make. I haven't had any luck. Below is the link I've been looking on/from. Does anyone see something I'm not?

  • What about looking for an old used cell phone, thats what my kids love playing with.
I have found some on ebay and craigslist for $10 and sometimes cheaper!

As I said in my question, she plays with my husband's Rumor. We don't keep the batteries in it because she'll try to dial 9-1-1 (she's done it in the past) and then we get fined for it. I want a play telephone that has the same sounds as the tones on a real phone (when the buttons are pushed), that won't actually dial out to anywhere.. including 9-1-1.

    Try this one...

Thanks! Downside is that it's not currently available. =(

  • One of my Facebook friends found this for only $8. I think I'll go that route instead.

  • Yep. The friend who sent me there has three kids and got it for her oldest. Her youngest still plays with it five years later.
