  • Go to the zoo, or hayride to pick pumpkins. Go out for his favorite dinner, go to Friendly's for sundaes. Give him presents, fill his room with balloons before he wakes up. We did this for my daughter and it was so much fun.

  • Our son is turning 3 in 3 weeks and I booked Chuck E Cheese - just family will be attending.. It hink you do need a Min of 4 kids but he has 3 cousins that will be there - but you could still take him there - you can bring your own cake just make it a fun day for him

  • My son would love a trip to the zoo followed by going to eat somewhere.

  • With your son still being so little he probably would be more fasinated with animals at the zoo or take him to the park where he can play all day.

  • Is there something special that your son is interested in? If he loves animals, the zoo is perfect! Some kids love fish and if your son is one of those, take him to an aquarium. Some area have wonderful children's museums that are hands on. Fun!

It's great to start traditions now, like he gets to pick what he wants for breakfast! You could have a balloon in his room that says happy birthday. Fun to wake up to!

You could give a couple of presents in the morning after breakfast and whatever else when it's time for the cake. Just remember that the day doesn't always go as planned and kids often end up having a little meltdown and just crying on their birthday. There are so many things that are different and so much excitement in the air that they often get overwhelmed. Make it fun and create some special memories. Make a little photo album and share the memories until the next year!

  • I'd take him out somewhere, like a zoo, aquarium, or play place for young kids. Just make a special day of it with him. Maybe order his favorite food and pick it up with his cake on the way home for dinner too.
