Can rice milk be used to substitute milk in recipies?

Is it an equal trade, or will it be funky...

DS is recently diagnosed with a dairy allergy, and I am trying to come up with a birthday cake....

  • I've never tried rice milk, but I've tried natural canned coconut milk and my cakes turned out great and they didn't have that crumbly texture. Try it, you might like it.

  • It's possible. Try going to the rice dreams website and see if they have recipes.

  • You could try almond milk-if he's not allergic to nuts.  Or, the old stand-by, soy milk.
