  • Anyone can have twins. You'll just have to wait and see with the ultrasound. Has your doc/midwife attempted to listen for multiple fetal heartbeats?

  • i have heard only fraternal twins are hereditery, which is yours and his fam?

  • It depends what type of twin your dad is. Your partner's twin status has nothing to do with it, because twins come from eithe rmom releasing mroe than one egg or from the fertilized egg splitting, it has nothing to do with the sperm. So if your dad is a fraternal twin, you are more likely to have twins. If he is an identical twin, your chances are not increased, because genetics doesn't effect the egg splitting.

Good luck! We thought my son might be twins right up until he was born lol.

  • Fraternal twins are genetic, but only through the mother's side. That being said, twins CAN be random and spontaneous and more likely the older a woman is (frat twins -- id twins are totally random and not genetic at all). You could be carrying two baby beans...or just one big one, lol! :)

  • go get your ultrasound!!!
if you are having twins eat up!!!!
a strong theory as to the large number of preemie twins is because of mama is not getting enough calories. that is my advice anyhow!
    good luck!
