soo....Mirena or ParaGard?

I have been doin research on both and was wonderig if anyone had any opinions or have used them before?

  • Gave you a bump, i am due to get the Mirena put in when i start my period again...sooo i hope you get some answers! :)

  • I have used both...sadly neither worked for me but I felt less side effects with paragard if that helps

  • Do you mean you got pregnant with both of those? I know you didnt use them at the same time hehe just for clarification.

  • I had Mirena for 7 months. That entire time I had mood swings, fatigue, and gained almost 20 pounds. I finally had it removed after I started having sever abdominal pain. I would not recommend it, but that is just me.

  • yes I got pregnant with both...miscarried after the mirena was removed...and with my current pregnancy (due in feb) I had paragard in for almost a year and got pregnant...I also got pregnant on the depo birth control doesnt get along with me i guess

  • I got mirana after having my daughter (over 3 years ago), and have had NO PERIODS in over 3 years (YES!!!) , and also no side effects, no mood swings, no weight gain, nothing and no havent got prego on it eather lol, i think its GREAT, and plan on getting a new one in 2 years unless i deside to have another baby , i def recomend it
