Jill Stanek Admits Mistake on Obama's Abortion Record-
http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2008/08/21/jill-stanek-admits-mistake-chicago-tribune-obama-abortion-record

Here’s the truth about Barack Obama and the bill:

At the time Barack voted against a bill containing language designed to protect infants who were “born alive,” such protection was already on the books as Illinois state law.[1]

The accusations against Barack are so reckless that not even the Republican state senator who sponsored the bill will support them. In fact, he freely admits that “None of those who voted against SB-1082 favored infanticide.”[2]

  • The bill was opposed by many legislators and groups like the Illinois Medical Society because of the unintended impact it would have had on other laws and legal precedents in Illinois.[3

  • Barack is on the record[3] saying that he would have supported a similar bill that came up in Congress -- but that didn’t pose a threat to a woman’s right to choose the way the Illinois bill did.[4]

  • People are going to believe what they want to believe, unfortunately.

Good job for trying and putting the truth out there, though =]

  • We'll be waiting for Jill Stanek to acknowledge her mistake on her blog, which should be easy since she did it already in the Chicago Tribune. Rueben, any comment? http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2008/08/21/jill-stanek-admits-mistake-chicago-tribune-obama-abortion-record

The woman who testified and then made the famous Infantcide video is the same woman who thinks Micheal J. Fox is a cannibal..

  • MAUREEN55  & mommyof4ormore , thank you for your support. I know most people will ignore the facts and be blind to the truth, but I hope at least a few people will accept the facts on this issue.

People are so willing to believe the worst about someone, especially if they've already formed a negative opinion about them.

That is SO true. I think people are afraid of being embarrassed if they change their views on someone. A lot of people are just too proud to admit that they were wrong.

  • Whoever created that horrible "documentary" people are finding on YouTube has no soul. It not only pulled on the heartstrings of every mother in America, it damn near ripped them out (even those of us who knew the video was bogus to begin with).

Thank you for posting. I've been fighting that damned video tooth and nail. And I'm not even an Obama supporter.

Well said! We need to continue trying to get the truth out, however hopeless it seems that it will matter.
