If one doesn't have enough savings for a downpayment on a home. Could the bank cover the rest as part of the home loan?

  • We took out a second loan to pay for the rest of our down payment.

  • If you don't have enough money for a downpayment, then buying a house is probably not a good idea.

  • When purchasing a home, you are required to make a down payment based on your credit rating and your finance terms. When you are given a down payment amount, you must pay that amount. You can not include that in the finance charges.
