has anyones child ever had swollen lymph nodes, if so what did your doctor tell you?

My son has swollen lymph nodes the doctor said it was a virus and that is the way his body was reacting to it

  • The lymphatic system - which the lymph nodes are part of - is part of your immune system. When you have any type of infection, it is possible for the lymph nodes to swell. This is normal and will go away when the infection clears up.

  • Exactly what he said. The lymph nodes drain infection from areas of the body that need it, and they swell. They will go down as the infection goes away. They are sometimes tender as well as palpable.
