What's you opinion on buying "used" items for christmas gift??

My daughter really wants an ipod touch & cricut for christmas, but I can't afford new one. Thought about buying used one, what do you guys think?

  • I think it's a good idea. I'm sure she wouldn't know the difference. or even care.

  • It's used the second u take it out of the package anyway...I often wonder why I buy anything new. As long as it is in good condition go for it!

  • If its in good condition, why not! I would buy anything other than electronics such as this second hand though.

  • I bought my daughter an American Girl doll off ebay once for Christmas and got a great deal. Look on craigslist since it's local and you can check the stuff out before you pay for it. And don't think of it as "used," think of it as "recycling." You're helping keep the stuff out of the landfills.

  • I would definitely buy used as long as they were in good condition. Especially the cricut - those are so expensive but they're hard to screw up so if you can find one on Craigslist used for cheap, go for it!
