  • We only buy for ourselves, and it's just the 3 of us. Usually a few hundred, and then baked goods for extended family/teacher gift/ etc. I don't count that as part of the shopping budget because the way I shop through the year, all the supplies I need are already on hand, and most are purchased for 50% or more off retail long before I need them.

  • I only exchange with my husband and children and I spend around $30 on each, so around $100

  • If I calculated what we spend on the two kids, each other and our parents it probably comes out to about $800 total

  • $10 gift for our son and money set aside for his college. He's only 3 and for some reason his 15 aunts and uncles think they need to spoil him rotten. To me it just seems like more toys to clean up...

  • We're a small fam, about 12 of us, his and mine combined.
We keep it to $15 or $20 each. D

  • This year we are buying my DD & I just finished buying for her, I spent $150. Plus his parents ($100 gift card to a fancy resturant), same for his brother & sister in law, they have 2 kids, so we are spending about $20 on each kid. Then for each other- probably about $150 each. So total about $700

  • Nothing; we are not Christian. Honestly, I see so much angst on CafeMom about Christmas gifts, I would probably convert if I was.
