Does it bother you...

....to find out about major life events (marriage, relationship status changes, births, etc) of a family member or close friend ON Facebook?

  • Nope..
If someone wants to personally tell me something one on one they will.. If they don't they won't.

How, when, why someone else chooses to tell or not tell me something is up to them. Not me. Therefore, not something for me to be bothered by one way or the other.

  • If I found out something like that on facebook, I wouldn't consider that person "close" in any way, shape or form...

  • not so much anymore, many people consider that personal and just post things there.

when my niece and SIL got into a accident and I heard about it a few days later via myspace,
yeah, I was a bit upset! turns out they didn't tell anyone until then, but I would have liked to get a call since we were the only ones right in town.

  • I usually post things asap on facebook cause usually I don't have time to talk but I know people want to know asap. I posted within an hour of my dog getting attacked by a dog on facebook. Didn't call Antony just when he was getting stitched and after throwing up I was taking a breather and posted it.

  • No. I don't have time to get caught up on phone calls, so I prefer to keep in touch via Facebook or text messaging. I get status updates via text message, so it's easier for me. Most of my friends are the same way.
