redoing dd's room once we move

we're redoing dd's room once we move...which will be very soon....i've asked her what kind of room she wants, and she says she wants a princess room......we have princess decorations already, in pink and green (light/pastel colors)....i'm not sure what to do as far as bedding....i've got two sets in i can decorate with what we have, and make her decorations more of the main focus....or i can get her the brighter bedding...what do you ladies think?|70819

this is the bedding that would match the decor we already have..all we would be lacking is a would be in the pink/green color.

i'll post post the bedroom set we're getting her and the other link to bedding in an answer.

  • I would go with the bedding that works with what you already have. Moving and decorating cost enough as it is. As she grows you will need to update it anyway. You don't say how old she is but I'm sure tastes will change as she ages. Once she is a teenager, they change hourly.

  • if you go with the first bedding (the pink and green one), I would accessorize with a princess like pillow, like this:

    Frog Pillow

    Princess heart shaped pillow

  • just because the furniture is plain. decorations will be great, but with a plain colored furniture AND plain bed spread, you need something to decorate the bed, but not over much. I think an accent pillow would really pull it all together perfectly. (and leaves room for growth when she decides she wants a little different theme so you don't have to change the bedding again in a few years).
