did blood work on tuesday....

im pregnant and got blood work done on tuesday i dont have my dr apt till nov 4th i was wondering if i called the dr if they would tell my my hcg level and my results....what do you think?

  • If they did a qualitative blood test, all they did was check positive or negative, you need a quantitative blood test to get the actual level... And usually that gets repeated about 48 hours later to see what the level's doing...

    Why did you get the blood work done, just to confirm the pregnancy?

  • blood work to check my sugar levels since my last pregnancy i was diabetic and other stuff like a prenatel screaning they took 7 viles so im just curious all that they did

  • Oh, okay. From what you're saying, I think it's highly unlikely they checked your hCG level then... My hospital usually posts the results of all their tests online as soon as they get them, so I can access them, so I'm not sure why you'd have to wait so long for your results. I'd just call and ask.

  • It's worth a call but they might not have done the HCG... you can check

  • They usually won't give any info out over the phone. You will have to most likely wait until your next appointment and glucose and prenatal screening don't check hcg

  • probably! i keep my dr's office number on speed dial... lol they know me when i call!! you pay them so why not stay on top of them for information.. call!!
