  • My grandma always said "Feed a cold Starve a fever"
Or was it the other way?

Lots of Vitamin C -- I mean mega doses!!!!!

Rest and Wash and sanitize everything. To keep it from keep on coming back.

No junk food. Good nutrition is always important.

  • Nyquil is what works for me. When I take it, at least I can sleep at night. On a few occasions, I have even taken the Dayquil.

  • I use thera flu to relieve the symptoms, or if I'm really desperate, nyquil (I HATE the taste) so I can get some sleep. I recently discovered Cold eeze lozenges. They're zinc and vitamin C (I think). Definitely take them as directed, because they're not cough drops. But I came down with a nasty head cold about 4 days before our vacation this summer. I started using the Cold eeze, and by the time we were ready to drive to NC for vacation, I felt much, much better.
