In Feb my trainer thinks i gave myself a stress fracture in my lower leg. So I took 3 months off from running. I did the eliptical, weightlifting, stairmaster etc. Then I started running again for about 6 months only for my leg to hurt again. I am told I should stop running for a LONG while to get this to heal. Now NOTHING gives me the workout like running. I gained 8 lbs even though I still worked out. Does anyone have any good workput ideas that will yeild similar results to running? I was able to run 6.2 miles in less than 50 min. I need something as intense with the same calorie burning rate.Answer Question

I would do swimming or spin class.
