When did you know what you were going to name your kids?

I was about three months with my first. I had his first name picked out early, and his middle name shortly after. My second I knew right away what I would call him, but we threw around other idea just because, but I stayed with the first instinct.

  • We'd played with names and had settled on a middle name, but couldn't agree on the first name. I was driving home from work one day and thinking about names, and the name "Micah" just suddenly felt right. It took a while to convince my DH... we had to meet our little DS, but one look and it was obvious to me that he looked just like a Micah.

  • Son = around 5 months give or take. But his middle name was changed almost at the last minute

Daughter = It took us a lot longer. I am not sure we were 100% firm until 2-3 weeks before birth

  • My first daughter, was going to be Jessica untill the day before i was admitted to the hospital which was 6 days before birth untill we changed it to Aurora, her middle name was set at 20 weeks along with Jessica, so only her first name changed.

My second, was 3 days after i found out she was a girl. Aurora picked it out of a hat that my husband and i put our fav. names into, and she was Avaeha Brystal then and now

With this one, at 20 weeks, but im only 22 weeks so i guess theres time to change, but i dont think so, looks like hes going to be Bently Myrel heh

  • I had my daughter named picked out since I was in 6th grade....yeah, I know crazy. But I loved the name and knew if I ever had a dd that her name would be Willow. Everyone knew the day we found out it was a girl that would be her name!!!
My son, it took longer, once we found out it was a he, just a few weeks later he had a name!

  • My sons were both named after family, so they were the first names we really considered.
My daughter (who I am due in Dec. with) still doesn't have a name cause we can't decide on one. My DH is insisting her middle name is Alice (after his mother) but he hates every name I give him as a possible first.
