  • My cousin gets one grand a month in disability, for she'll NEVER be able to work again. Her DH also has job, and they do well.

  • How old are you kids? If you're breastfeeding or they're under 5 years old you can get some help from WIC. And coupon clipping can help. Here's a site that helps you organize your coupons to get the best deals. Look for other blogs and things with tips. Buy at caselot sales so that you can stock up on the things you use a lot. And there's always Ebay to sell off a few things you don't really need anymore!

  • You can probably get assistance from food pantries on top of getting food stamps and WIC (if you qualify). I'm assuming your healthcare will be free. You would qualify for housing assistance. You could acquire clothing from charities and/or shop at thrift stores.

  • Is it you and your 3 kids or you, another adult, and 2 kids? If it's you and your kids you should be able to qualify for food assistance, medical assistance and whatever else. If there is another able bodied adult than he/she needs to work!
