  • I have an uncle in his 60's who isnt doing very well due to diabetes. He has other health issues too, but has all the typical diabetic illnesses, like failed eyesight, circulation issues, kidney issues, etc. I also have a co-worker who's a bit younger than my uncle who has had similar problems. He has a more positive outlook on life & that seems to make a difference for him. Good luck if you are dealing w/ this.

  • Autoimmune disorders run in my family and present most prevalently as diabetes. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2.

  • I know and care for many people with DM. People please take care of yourself if you have it.. It is very sad to see people lose a leg or both because of uncontrolled DM.. It is very serious and not just a "sugar" problem.. I am sorry to be so grim but many do not take it serious and suffer because of it.
