Do you use a health savings account that is changing what you can buy with it? What would you stock up on before it changes?

Right now we can use it to buy just about anything medical. Things like Advil, bandages, home pregnancy tests, cold medicine, thermometers, vitamins, etc. But after Jan. 1 we will only be able to use it for prescriptions and dr visits.

So, we are going to stock up on a bunch of things before Jan 1. What kinds of things would you buy?

  • Some of the things you mentioned making sure they have a distant expiration date. Also, think of winter items like cough drops, etc.
