babysitting and day care in GA

So I am looking to babysit a few kids in my home for a little extra money, but I am not sure how many I can have at one time for it to be considered a home day care. Since this is only temporary, I do not want to go through lisencing and all that. Does anyone know anything about this or where I can find a reliable source on the internet? I have done some searching myself but can not seem to find what I am looking for. Also I was wondering how much any of you charge for child care or how much you do, or would, pay for someone to watch your children. I am still not sure what would be a fair price.

  • In Georgia, you can keep up to 2 kids (that are not your own) without having to be licensed. However, if this is only temporary, then I wouldn't advertise a home daycare. I would advertise a babysitting service. Most moms who are looking for daycare want something long term, not temporary. Have you tried listing your services on http://www.sittercity.com/ or http://www.care.com/ ?

  • I too live in GA and I keep 1 infant two days a week. I charge $45. If mom only wants to use me 1 day, it's $25.
