  • It isn't typically the way Surgeons WANT to make a c section incision, sometimes it is the only way. I had been in labor over 30 hours, pitocin, back labor., internal monitor...yadda, yadda,yadda..all the sudden the alarm on the monitor goes off and the room was filled with people. The next thing I know my husband kissed me said I love you and I was moved to a different room, Our son was born less than 3 minutes later. He was in so much distress they lost his heart rate. No time to make a nice low side to side cut..it was just time to get the baby out. Now days even emergencies they can do a side to side unless the baby is really huge.
