How would you feel if someone promise you some thing and than gave it away to some one else?

  • It would suck. It happened recently to my family. My FIL had told my husband that he was going to inherit 45% of the estate at the time of my FILs death. When he died, he actually left my husband 6%. And my FIL had promised that there would be funds left to our middle son in order to finish college. That did not happen either. There was nothing we could do, but it really sucked, especially for our son.

  • (I know this far too well...people shouldn't make PROMISES they don't intend on keeping)IF THEY DO, YOU SHOULD GET A VERY GOOD EXPLANATION OF WHY IT WAS BROKEN.

  • No my sister and I have a friend in commom and she is always promising one thing or another then give it to her family. But when she is in a bind she calls on me and my sister to bell her out. We came to the idea that we will not be her stepping stool.
