How can I get my almost one year old off powder milk?

My daughter will be a year old next month. How do I get her off powder milk?

  • Is she going to whole milk? If so, mix 3/4 powdered and 1/4 whole for a few days, then 50/50 for a few, then 3/4 whole and 1/4 powdered for a few more giving her a couple of days to adjust to each step. Just one idea........

  • when my kids were 12 months old... I just picked a day ( basically when they ran out of the last can) ... and just put regular milk in the bottle. They both got weird faces, but liked it.... you just have to worry about constipation, so make sure they get alot of fiber

  • @Elizabr: I'm going to be giving her some 2% Milk since that's what I buy, use and drink but kowing the WIC Office they're going to give her Whole Milk.

  • Kids under 2 need whole milk- they need the saturated fat.

  • Whole milk is best, has more in it. We mixed formula with a little bit of milk
