  • $250 a month, average, for 4 adults, 1 teen boy, and 2 tweens. BLEW it yesterday (spent $349.20), but it'll last us for six weeks with the addition of a few more dozen eggs and gallons of milk.

  • 400.00 to 450.00 every two weeks, varying on what we need. I do live in Hawaii so it makes it much more expensive, but that is the cost of shopping at the commissary which is roughly 30% cheaper than shopping off base.

Budget is quoted for two adults and one toddler =).

  • My budget is about 450 a month. Its just me and my baby, though. Its just high b/c I buy alot of fresh foods.

  • We are a family of 3 with one on the way. We don't buy processed foods, junk foods, or sodas. We just stick with the freshest possible foods and organics. I would say that we typically spend between $500-$600/monthly, but we don't really have a budget.

  • We are a family of four and I spend about $400 dollars a month. That includes all my paper/diapers (for 2) and hygiene stuff. We get our veggies at the farmer's market and try to buy local whenever we can.

  • Around $200 a month for a family of 3. Me and 2 boys, 9 and 6. I buy my produce from fruit stands and farmers markets and cook from scratch when I can.

  • There are three of us, plus the occasional extra teen. We eat a mostly organic, whole foods based diet; make most of our own cleaners, and spend around $90 a week.

  • I would say that we average $250 a week. That includes food, paper products, toiletries and cleaning supplies, and the occasional book or outfit when we are at Costco.
