Am I Pregnant??? Tests say no.

So, if I am pregnant, I would be around 8 or 9 weeks now. I did have a period after the unprotected sex. Right after my period I tested and it came back neg. I didn't think any more of it until I missed my period that I was supposed to get 9 days ago. And over the last 1-2 weeks I've been gaining weight in my abdomen but not too noticeable to others. Is it possible to still have 1 period at the beginning of a pregnancy? The only symptoms I'm having are the weight gain, no period, and some nausea (no vomiting) and diahhrea. People have asked if I've been stressed, etc. and I have not been. Has all of this happened to anyone else?

  • No,you probably aren't. It would show by now. There are other medical conditions that can cause those symptoms.

  • Have you used a test since you missed your period?

  • Ask your doctor for a blood test if you suspect pregnancy. If you had a period after having unprotected sex, the chances of actually being pregnant would be pretty slim.

  • No Shanna I haven't taken a test since my missed period. But what I can't figure out is I thought you don't bleed while pregnant? Then I've heard that sometimes people can bleed for a month or two or even three into their pregnancy?

  • I agree on a blood test. Home pregnancy tests kept showing negative until I was 3 months with my oldest

  • If you were 8 or 9 weeks, you would have a positive test. Are you really a nurse (by your name)?
