  • There's no time like the present to start. Give a Birthday present to yourself by deciding that you are going to eat healthier. I'm talking little things. Don't eat a second helping of anything. Eat slower and enjoy your food. Try eating steamed broccoli instead of broccoli with cheese sauce. Find foods you like that are lower in calories, like broiled chicken breast instead of fried chicken. Little changes can make a difference. Walking, even a little can help. When you go shopping, park a little further away. These small things will add up to you losing pounds.

  • Make walking a daily routine, start off with a mile and try to increase as you go along, that with a good eating habits will do the trick

  • 6 miles is what is recommended for loosing weight, just live by this: calories in calories out, burn them with walking, and if you can get a partner the time and distance will be even better.

  • Happy Birthday! My best friend has lost a ton of weight by eating everything in moderation, and she eats fresh vegetables like cucumbers, bell peppers and carrots with EVERY meal. The veggies help you to metabolize your food. Also there are a ton of 5-10 minute workouts available... you need at least try to fit it in if you want results.

  • Have you looked into clean eating? It's not so much a diet as a lifestyle change, and it eliminates preservatives and refined sugars. You can get any of Tosca Reno's books about it, and they include some exercises. EVERYONE has SOME time to exercise (maybe not to go to the gym for 2 hours, but to fit in something here and there).

  • I agree, clean eating. eleminate soda and processed foods. and you will do great. Oh, but dont have unreasonable expectations of yourself. It takes time, and depending on your bodyshape and personal diatary needs, Just make sure you read the labels, on everything. you wouldnt believe how much "diet or healthy" food has in it. hit up a farmers market, (natural organic localy grown produce is the best, and It tastes the best too!. and If you dont drink coffee, try a cup of 1/2 caff a day. it will stimulate your metabolism. Just be prepared to eat more then you do now. If you have a faster metabolism you have to eat twice as often. (more if your active). Its what you eat that matters not how much. work on feeling good and being healthy. you might gain weight at first, but If you want to keep it off, work on your metabolism..not fat.
