how can i get my son to stop sucking his thumb with out using anything to make it taste bad??

he only dose it when hes watching tv or in the car or sleeping

  • How old is he? Chances are he will just stop when he doesn't need that comfort any longer.

  • hes 3yrs and 5months.. hes done it since a baby.. and my husband is tryin to break it but i told him that everytthing i have read says to let him break it on his own and not to use anything ..he gets mad at me when i tll him that and idk what else to do

  • I would not worry about it. He is sill very young. My granddaughter broke herself when she started preschool at 4 years old.

  • thats what i was thinking that maybe he would stop when he gets there.. i guess he only dose it at school during nap time.

  • He will stop when he is ready. I have never seen a kid walk across the stage to get his high school diploma. Let him be.

  • i know we talked about it last night and he understands where im coning from he just says all im doing is telling him to stop. so i gave up ill let him do what he wants.. but i dont bother to tell my son to stop when i see him because i really belive hell stop when hes ready
