Thank you cards

Do you send thank you cards or do you think a verbal thanks is enough?

I always try to do both.

  • I like to send thank you card... Having said that, I ordered the damn thank you cards for my son's 2nd birthday, and just discovered them sitting on my desk... Almost 2 months later, sigh.

  • I always send thank you cards when it is appropriate. Wedding showers, weddings, and baby showers. I also have my grandkids, as I did my kids, write thank you cards to Grandmas and Grandpas, And Aunt or Uncles that send them something at the holidays. Verbal thank yous are fine for everday things. One of my pet peeves is attending a shower or a wedding and never hearing a word from the couple, it's just rude, at least where I'm from it is.

  • I always send a thank you card! Most people are surprised to receive one, at least in my experience.

  • I like to do both, but I always make sure to send out a hand-written thank you. It was the way I was raised.

  • I never send them, and I tend to tell people not to send them. I find them to be a waste of money and paper. No one keeps them, half the time people don't even read them...
