Getting out Rust Stains

We have a lot of rust in our water and nothing we seem to do will get it out. I'm very sensitive to the chemical fumes a lot of cleaners give off. Is there any way to get rust out of sinks, tubs and showers that won't give off harsh fumes?

  • I agree, a bleach product is helpful. I am a natural girl too, but have found little that has helped besides bleach. t is likely iron in your water, not rust. If you use a softener, which I presume you do because you have rust issues, try to use one that helps with iron removal.

I do use Charlie's Soap for other rust stains (on concrete, in my laundry, etc.), and it is good for soap scum, but it isn't a disinfectant, just a cleaner.

  • I like Soft Scrub liquid. The fragrance is very manageable
