If you rent a home/duplex, I have a question for you.

How often does your landlord stop by unannounced?

  • Sometimes, but I have finally told him that he needs to call first or he doesn't come in. So now it is rare.

  • Never. Sometimes I don't get very much notice though... like a text in the morning saying they'll be by that afternoon to replace filters or whatever.

  • Rarely, but she's my grandmother, so she's stopping by as family when she does, not at land lady...

    But I've rented for years and years, and never had a landlord just drop by. In fact I had a few I never even met.

  • well mine stopped by this morning. but my dh is his employee and they were freaking out because he wasn't at work and they didn't know what was going on. they forgot he had the day off. other than that.. not very often.

  • Never, yet, but I'm pretty sure they have to give you a notice if they do. There isn't any dropping by allowed. 24 hours here in WI. Check your lease.
