  • florida in april is still a little chilly, the water is a little cold too i went to san juan puerto rico in march and it was perfect weather it's pretty cheap too but a long flight from where you're from..you'd probally have to fly to atlanta then could go straight to san juan from there it's a 4 hour flight if i remember correctly but if you flew out from miami it's about a 2-3 hour flight

  • Sint Maarten is AWESOME!! We're going back in December. It's beautiful and easy to navigate, and the people are really nice. It's pretty relaxed, and you have all the usual water sports and such available. There's also an adventure park with a zip line.

  • Sint Maarten isn't any more than here. They import most of their goods from PR, so they're close to what they are here. The hotel was about $700 for the week, right on the beach. The car rental was about $125 for the week, and we were so glad we did it! We stayed at the Flamingo Beach Resort on the Dutch side (there's a Dutch side and a French side). It's nothing fancy, but we were really happy with it. Also, go on YouTube and search "Maho Beach". The planes land right overthe beach (as in, tens of feet over your head, including a 747 in the afternoon!). You can "surf the fence", which is when you get the jet blast fe the departing planes. It's a big deal there!
