How can I make my soft contacts last longer?

I just got 2 week soft lenses and by the 10th day- they are already uncomfortable! Any tips on keeping them comfy for longer? They are very comfy when they are new.

  • A good quality solution, don't sleep in them, clean them good, etc. I have the 30 day ones and I milk them out as long as possible. I even did that with my two week ones. Sometimes they would last a month or so.

  • My eye doctors suggest giving them a gentle rub to clean them - even with the "No Rub" solution. It definitely makes a difference.

  • Alcon SupraClens enzymatic drops. Use once a week. I wear my disposables for about 6 months.

  • Thanks for the suggestions! I did start cleaning them a few days ago, I figured it couldn't hurt. My doc told me it didn't matter what solution I used - I have ReNu I think. What do you recommend? He also told me I didn't need to clean them. I try not to sleep in them but I do fall asleep occasionally with my son at naptime.

  • I have always used the store brand. Equate from walmart or the meijer brand. It's all the same. The only difference is price.
