shipping furniture

how much does it cost to ship out a crib to TX? My sister in law is expecting and is due in December and I'm giving her my son's crib to her....Just need a price of how much it would be....

  • I agree with the first two posters. They will charge you by box size AND weight. Not only that, you'd probably want insurance in case it got broken or lost, which would add to the cost also. Tons of stores have cribs for about $100 and a lot of them have free shipping over a certain amount right now.

  • I agree with the other ladies. If she has an IKEA near her, the Lasvik crib has a good rating on Consumer Reports and is only $150.
