  • Not as much as i would like. Mother in law usually takes over...even though i am a better cook...LOL! If i make too much, she gets irritated because she can't handle all the left overs. Would LOVE to do thanksgiving at my house one day. I have still never hosted a Thanksgiving meal...that bums me out!

She usually makes turkey, Dressing (which is pretty much the same thing a stuffing...but i like stuffing better!. Never had Dressing up north) Collard Greens, gravy, deviled eggs, green bean casserols..what else...sweet potato casserole (which i don't realy like) rolls, i always make the pies...I'm sure I'm forgetting some things...

  • I brine a turkey and stuff it with aromatics instead of traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes, a sweet potato casserole that is not sweetened, but baked with onions, garlic, basil, and coated with olive oil and parmesan cheese, stuffed mushrooms, rolls, glazed carrots, and something else. It's usually just us and my FIL so I don't get too carried away. Plus I make a double layer pumpkin pie (thank you kraft.com) and a double layer chocolate pie.

  • Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, candied yams with marshmallows, cranberry relish, green bean casserole, crescent rolls, pecan pie and pumpkin pie.
This has been the menu for 42 years, have tried changing it a couple of times and family revolted. Tastes so good and leftovers are the best.

  • Turkey, Mashed potatoes, no yams- we don't like them, Bread and pies.
then if it's anything like last year, we'll bag it all up and eat it in the store parking lot waiting for them to open for the big sale!
