What can i feed my son of an age of 12 months on solid foods we eat because he has no teeth and seems to be choking on things i am making him?

  • It could be more about the texture rather than being too large. You can try steaming everything so it's really tender, cutting up smaller, or even pureeing a little.

    Kids can eat without teeth. Their gums are extremely strong and capable of gnashing up most foods. I wouldn't be giving steak or other tough meats but most things they can eat without teeth.

  • He's 12 months without any teeth? Hm. Never heard of that before.
    But you can give him things such as pudding, applesauce, and other pureed foods like that. You can steam veggies until they're super soft. He's going to choke on foods at first, as he's learning to manipulate them. It's natural. Just keep encouraging him to chew, show him how to chew, and introduce soft foods.

  • Babies use their gums to chew. Just make sure they are very small pieces until his teeth come in.
