I'm newly diagnosed with breast cancer and am facing a bilateral mastectomy, anyone have tips or info for dealing with this?

  • Aw, honey, I'm sorry. I can't imagine what you're dealing with. I know there are survivors here with more wise words than I can offer. All I can suggest is surround yourself with as much support as you can, and do as much research as you can. Know that breasts are NOT what make you a woman. It's okay to mourn them, if that's what you need. I'm sending positive healing vibes your way!!

  • I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this.....I haven't had breast cancer, but I am a cancer survivor......I would recommend some sort of support group with people who have dealt with this, they can prepare you better than anyone else for the emotional and practical stuff ahead....You can ask the hospital if they have one or know of one, also do a google search....

  • I havnt my grandma had a partial at 65 she was ok i am sending my peaceful thoughts.
