Cleaning coffee pot ideas...

I need to thuroghly clean my coffee pot. I've heard that vinegar works. But I'm not sure whether I do straight vinegar or half and half with water. What do you do??

  • well I was going to tell you vinegar, but you already know lol. I don't know if it's straight or half and half, My guess would be, it wouldn't hurt to do straight.

  • denture cleaner tablets. Cleans it spotless We use a carafe. If you mean the actual coffeemaker. then vinegar straight. run clear water through after cleaning.

  • I use a rag first to wipe down the inside the best that I can(I don't try to make it perfect) Then I do about 2 cups of straight vinegar. Then max it out with clean water and do that a few times until the smell is gone. That way I know all the vinegar is out

  • i do straight vinegar! once it brews i let it sit for a while then wipe everything down. I pour out the vinegar then brew water afterwards as many times as necessary

  • I use salt & ice cubes for the pot it's self and for the inside of the coffee maker I use straight vinegar and then run several of loads of plain water through it
