I have a 1 month old and she is eating between 5 and 6 onces is this okay?

of either breast milk or formula since I alternate between the two

  • Yeah... babies don't know how to overeat. My son was eating 4-5 ounces at around 3 weeks also.

  • She's right, let them decide how much is right for them. They'll stop when they're full or when they've had enough, they'll let you know when they need more.

  • girl my son at 2months was drinking 16 ounces with cereal at bed time and if he didn't get he wouldn't sleep...

  • 4 to 5 ounces a feeding or all day? My dd eats anywhere from 2 to 4 ounces per feeding and shes 7 weeks old. Our pedi said to feed her as much and as often as she wanted. Babies know what they need.
