Do your kids have an alarm to be able to get up in the mornings on there own?

Or do you get them up in the mornings?

  • My kids are up so freaking early that none of us need an alarm. I bought a clock for my son's room to tell him he had to make sure it was at least 6:30 before he gets up and starts making noise. Before that, he was getting up at 5:30 and earlier.

  • Yes when the girls where at hom. They had their own alarm clock. To teach them responsibility.  To get up on their own.

  • I have an alarm clock for my son but he never wakes up to it so I end up waking him up. I'm going to get him a louder alarm because he needs to learn to get up on his own.

  • I woke mine up through middle school. They had clocks in high school, but I always got up with them, made sure they ate breakfast, and packed lunches.

  • No. My 17 y/o DS has his own alarm... he's in practice for adulthood. If I functioned as his human alarm clock now I'd be doing him a disservice.

  • They have one, but I still have too wake them up. In a year or two I will be a little more force with it.

  • yep each one of my children have their own alarm clock

  • Nope.  They don't need one.  They get up on their own every morning with plenty of time to get ready for school.  They are usually up before me and, lately since the baby has started sleeping later, they get up, get ready and leave before I even get up.  They are in 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades.

They get up around 7am every morning and leave for the bus around 8am.
