  • Tomato juice is the best choice. It was the most recommended thing to do by our vet.

  • What you Need.

Next go to a drug store and get the following, if needed:

    • 1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.
Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).

    • 1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda

    • 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap

    • 1 pair of plastic or latex gloves

  • Back in the day When I was a young country girl I remember my uncle giving the dog a milk bath to get rid of the odor. It helped some but not totally. The dog slept way out back in the shed for quite a while.

  • MusicMom has the right idea works the best on dog.I wanna add you do have to let it sit for a bit and will have to reapply also remember if it's damp outside or your dog gets wet you will smell skunk b/c it's a oil and soaks into the skin.

  • I watched Billy the Exterminator the other day and he said the best thing to do if you were sprayed is to take a bath in baking soda and peroxide.
