Wedding ring question

I have a gold ring that is very pretty but I would love it to be silver in color. Do you think it would be hurtful to ask my dh to help me trade it in?

  • You can have it plated to be white gold. I'm not sure what it costs, but it's not that much, and it would be less likely to hurt his feelings. Good option if u like the ring otherwise.

  • You can have it dipped in rhodium for a white gold looking finish. Much cheaper and easier (I think) than to trade it in for somethig different.

  • It might be able to be "dyed" White gold is dyed and has to be re-dyed every so often.

  • I have my 18k gold wedding ring rhodium (sp?) plated about every 18 months ... looks beautiful, doesn't affect the diamonds in any way and it only costs about $75.

  • Or maybe wear it between 2 guard rings that are silver in color?

  • Good question! It might hurt his feelings, but maybe it hurts your feelings to have a ring you're not so fond of. If they would only listen!
