Do you think that giving little girls baby dolls to play with encourages them to be young mothers when they get "older"?

  • Yes I do but there's nothing wrong with that. Same thing if you give your dd a dr kit to play with, she may want to be a dr. Again, nothing wrong with that.

  • Nope. I think it encurages them to be little girls. I do not see anything wrong with her wanting a doll. Heck my son has a baby doll. Then again, if it did I don't see anything wrong with that. My DD(5) has told me she wants to be a Mom when she grows up because she sees me do it. Not because I let her play.

  • No, I think it's good for encouraging little girls to use their imagination though and pretend to be like their mommies. I played with dolls until I was 13 years old!! I didn't have my first baby until I was married and 24 years old.

  • HaHa... NO! Not at all... Girls have been playing with dolls for centuries, I have yet to hear a single woman say "I became a mom at 12 because I had dolls when I was 6."

  • Most all little boys have trucks and it doesn't encourage them to grow up and be truck drivers. That is just downright silly.
