New alphabet?

I had older kids and they learned the same alphabet I did. Right as my kids were moving up they talked about the following classes having a new alphabet. Suppose to help kids move to cursive easier.

I am working with a preschooler on her alphabet but want to make the letters right. Does anyone have a website that shows the new style?

Never understand why they have to change all of it first math now the alphabet:)

  • I don't know where you live, but here the letters are all the same as they always were... Nothing has changed...

  • It called Zaner Bloser, it's what I grew up writing. Some schools teach the Znaer Bloser style handwriting while some teach D'Nealian (the one you learned). Neither is really better or newer than the other.

  • My kids had same thing. My older kids learned the straight lines. Then my foster kids are learning a new style (slanted). My older kids were in Kindegarten 10 years ago so not sure when the change happened.
