I HAven't Flown For A Long Time So...

Can you take liquid or very small aresol/shaving cream cans in your carry on luggage when you fly?

  • liquids, gels and creams are 3 oz or less (container must be 3.2 oz or less size) in a quart sized plastic bag that goes through security OUTSIDE your luggage.

    Aerosols are excluded completely, IIRC.

    Check the TSA website for exact current details.

  • You really need to call the airports you're flying to and from because regardless of the rules you'll probably hear different things. We were told we could take water for the baby but when we flew back we were told we couldn't.

  • Nope you can't take any type of aerosols and all liquids must be less than 3 oz in a clear bag.

  • The 3 oz rule still applies and they should fit in a quart sized plastic ziploc bag.
