  • During the week I try to have dinner ready at 5pm.  That means I usually start cooking when the kids walk in the door from school (they get home around 4pm).  So I'm trying to cook and help with homework and the baby ALWAYS decides to throw a fit at the same time.

But the kids are hungry when they get home and if they have a snack then they don't want dinner so I make it at 5.  Plus they go to bed at 8pm so it gives them time to settle after eating.

  • Same as you. I try to get the kids fed around 6pm during the week. I put my husband's plate in the micro for when he gets home after 7pm. On weekends I finally cook after everybody starts complaining that they are hungry =P
