  • i want my family to kno that they can not let my kids get away with things bc then the kids will act out more. so i have no qualms about disciplining my kids in front of my family or inlaws. and they all have permision within reason to discipline my kids as well.

  • I feel just fine about it. They aren't going to get away with things because there is company. Or because we are somewhere.

  • I'm fine with it, in front of family, in the store, wherever...doesn't matter, if he misbehaves he is going to be punished.

  • We usually take him into another room so that he is paying attention to only us and not everything around him.

  • I never - NEVER - alter the disciplinary actions I take simply because of someone being there... If they don't agree, or don't like it - TOUGH! It's not their child, they don't get to make those choices - I do...

  • I never changed how I handled things because of people being there. Children will figure that out quickly if they can get away with things when grandma is visiting.

  • If they deserve it than it shouldn't matter who is there...should mention I don't spank because it think it teaches them to be violent.

  • LOL that's a good question, My 9 yr old seems to think that if people are around he can do what ever, I don't know where this comes from cause you would think he would know by now, I don't care who is at my house or where we are. He can still get punished for his behavior.
