  • Also, look into fish oil. Apply one capsul to food per day. Fish oil will help with the skin, and fur. Talk to your vet for recommended use (this is just something I do at home..) or proper dosage. Make sure your pup is getting the activities and exercise a puppy needs to prevent boredom .

  • It could be allergies; either from food or environment. I personally would try switching to a HIGH quality food brand first...nothing that will be found at Walmart (unless yours carries Newman's Own) or a grocery store. Give the new food atleast a couple of weeks to work. If the food change doesn't work, you might have to take him/her to the vet for allergy meds.

Check out for dog food ratings.

  • could be a skin irritation. maybe its the shampoo you use, any colognes or the environment.. you should maybe ask your vet at the next check up.. my dog does it often even though she has no fleas or ticks either.. she also chews her feet! some do it out of boredom or it feels good also.
the vet will know the likelihood of the cause, if you can take her/him there.

  • Probably just dry skin it is getting colder out they seem to have dryer skin like we do. Maybe just call and ask the vet to see what they reccomend
