  • i definately reccommend stephen king. all of his stuff isn't thriller/horror lol. if you're into that, then you have plenty to pick from, but if you're not really into that i would suggest lisey's story by stephen king....it's a little bit love story, a little bit fantasy and very very good. he has great short stories too

  • George R.R. Martin, especially his Song of Ice and Fire series (first book A Game of Thrones). AWESOME! But only through book 4 of 7, been waiting 5 years for book 5. :P

    Orson Scott Card is good, too. Sci-fi/fantasy. His Ender seris is good. He's got a new trilogy, first book Pathfinder coming out next month that I'm really enjoying.

    Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, etc.) is always great.
